Galerie Gallery is currently hibernating and re-thinking its first year of existence, but will be back shortly with new exhibitions/projects/anything!

In 2009/2010 we made 5 solo-shows at our galleryspace and did one group-effort at the Kunstvlaai/Art Pie.

Galerie Gallery toont in mei de eerste overzichtstentoonstelling van het oeuvre van Simon Kentgens.

Kentgens’ werk kenmerkt zich doordat het zich bevindt op een overgang: tussen het echte en het geconstrueerde, het origineel en de reproductie, tijdelijkheid en permanentie.

Voor Galerie Gallery selecteerde Kentgens een aantal werken uit de afgelopen 10 jaar. Deze werken worden voor het eerst bij elkaar gebracht, waardoor ze een nieuwe relatie zullen aangaan met elkaar en met de ruimte. Daarnaast ontwikkelt hij speciaal voor deze gelegenheid een nieuwe site-specific installatie.

De expositie opent op 22 mei om 19u ‘s avonds.
De expositie is ook te bezichtigen gedurende het Kunstweekend Charlois (28-30 mei). Gedurende deze periode zal Kentgens doorwerken aan zijn installatie. Tijdens dit weekend zullen er enkele performances plaatsvinden in de tentoonstelling.

Galerie Gallery presents at this year’s Kunstvlaai | Art Pie!

A project by Jan Huijben, Michiel Huijben, Simon Kentgens and Hedwig Houben. In the middle of the Gashouder, the visitor can go up on a lifting ramp to get a better view on the artscene represented at the Kunstvlaai. Once up, the visitor gets treated to a lecture on the possibilities of presenting art when usual conditions for an exhibition space are abscent.

The lecture is written by Hedwig Houben and will be read by either Jan Huijben or Michiel Huijben.

After a long hibernation galerie gallery is back with a new show:

Nikki Koole

Nikki Koole creates computerprograms that depict a simplified version of our world. Everything looks like time in computerland has stopped around 1992: limited palettes (256), limited dimensions (2), limited resolutions and no WWW. But the environments, processes and relationships that the inhabitants of his programs are engaged in, are very much of these times.
For galerie gallery Koole is working on a series of new works, both digital as analog.

The opening of the exhibition is on Saturday the 3rd of april at 18.30hrs. Be very welcome on Dordtselaan 27e!

It’s time for another opening @ Galerie Gallery!
This time Willem Claassen will be presenting a new room-filling interactive installation in the guestroom @ Dordtselaan 27e.
On Friday the 18th of December we will celebrate this with an opening that starts at 18.30h and ends when we feel like it.

Galerie Gallery is proud to announce its second exhibition, featuring new work by Hedwig Houben.

Hedwig will show an installation conceived just for this occasion. Opening with performance on the 6th of November, from 18.30 h on.

Galerie gallery is a small new initiative/home-gallery with limited space for infinite experimentation. Galerie Gallery is based in the south of Rotterdam and will first open its doors to present new work by Jak Peters.

The exhibition will be opened on the 2nd of October at 1900hrs., and will furthermore be available for viewing on the 3rd and 4th of October.

This will be galerie gallery’s very first presentation and the first in a series of five.
